2009 National Community Health Center Week

Every year the second week of August is dedicated to recognizing the service and contributions of Community, Migrant, Homeless and Public Housing Health Centers in providing access to affordable, high quality, cost-effective health care to medically vulnerable and underserved in the U.S.

"Celebrating America's Health Centers: Where ACCESS and QUALITY CARE Begin," theme for the 2009 National Health Center Week, was celebrated by Idaho's Community Health Centers. Open houses to showcase dental, primary care and behavorial health facilities, ribbon cutting ceremonies for new facilities, and a Community Health Fair were some of the featured events.
