The link above is to a best practice video filmed at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. This video shows the team at FMRI’s Wellness Center HIV Clinic performing a “huddle”, or daily team meeting, as a way to ensure efficient patient visits. The members of the team include the provider, medical assistant, and social workers who work together to anticipate the needs of each patient on the day’s schedule. The video captures a portion of a daily morning huddle as the team at FMRI effectively utilizes their EMR system, along with a huddle template to access important patient information such as lab results, history, and roadblocks vital to the patient's overall care.
